A Real, Transparent, and Local Initiative I’m the founder of "Chapa BCH", a 100% transparent initiative to bring Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to the streets of Maputo and Matola - using low-cylinder cars and txopelas (our local word for tuk-tuks). This project is more than a fundraiser. It’s a sustainable and trackable business, built to employ locals, accept crypto as payment (BTC, USDT, etc.), convert everything into BCH, and pay drivers directly in Bitcoin Cash - giving them the freedom to hold or convert it into Mozambican Metical. Most people in Mozambique don’t use crypto yet. So we’ll also accept M-Pesa, Emola, and Mkesh (popular mobile money platforms) and convert those payments to BCH behind the scenes. To ensure a successful and transparent rollout of Chapa BCH, we’ll initially integrate with the Yango ride-hailing platform, which is already active in Mozambique. Yango will help us monitor driver routes, service quality, and performance - but the payments will still be made directly to us, outside of their platform. That means passengers can pay using crypto, or even local mobile money and all will be converted into Bitcoin Cash. This setup gives us the best of both worlds: logistics support from a proven platform, and financial independence through peer-to-peer crypto payments. Over time, we’ll migrate to our own BCH-based ride app, developed with the help of community developers - bringing everything in-house and crypto-native. My name is Alberdioni8406 and I’ve been part of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) community for over 6 years. I’m active BCH Creator on platforms like read.cash, Publish0x, Reddit, X, and others — always promoting BCH usage globally, especially in Mozambique. I also lead a local BCH-curious community and create content to onboard new users. 2. How will the funds be managed? The funds will be used according to real needs on the ground. Since we can’t yet buy vehicles directly with BCH, funds will be transparently swapped into Mozambican Metical (MZN) to make necessary purchases. Initially, we’ll use the Bitcoin.com Wallet with SideShift.ai integration to swap assets like BTC, USDT, or TRX into BCH — all without KYC, quickly and reliably. We’ll also accept M-Pesa, Emola, and Mkesh mobile money and convert the proceeds into BCH manually as needed. 6. What if the campaign doesn't reach its full goal? Fundme.cash only releases funds if the campaign is fully funded. If we fall short, we’ll encourage direct donations to the project address. That way, we may still launch a scaled-down version using only one vehicle. 7. How will you maintain and fuel the vehicles long-term?
